The Spiritual Coach Suggests A Free Meditation For the Morning

Here is a free meditation you can use to connect with your Spiritual Coach in the morning. What is the value of meditating in the morning, you ask?

Imagine this: you are waking up peacefully (hopefully) and stretching your arms, getting ready for the day. You are still groggy and slowly glancing around the room. This scenario can play out in two ways:

1. You get up and run into the shower, dress, do all the things you need, and fly out the door to start your day in a RUSH.

2. You sit up in bed and begin this free meditation for 5, 10, 15 or even 20 minutes. You take the time to connect with your Spiritual Coach within you, and then glide through your morning, having set the kind of pace you want for the rest of the day.

If you prefer scenario number two, continue reading and follow the free meditation below.

Take a deep breath. As you breathe, feel your body. Feel the air going into your lungs and nourishing the rest of your body. Feel the air that leaves your body, releasing any negativity or unwanted stress. There is only now and your breath. Repeat for 10 slow breaths.

Start focusing your attention on your body. Let gratitude and appreciation overflow from deep inside of you, spilling out over every part, every detail that makes up your body, from your hair, scalp, head, eyebrows, and eyelashes all the way to your toes.

Your body is truly a miracle, busily working and always moving you towards health and wellness, healing itself from scratches and wounds without you having to do a thing. Thank your body.

When you feel complete, begin to think about the day ahead of you, as if hearing about it from someone else. Regardless of what you are doing for the day, reflect on what you would like to happen, and then imagine how you will feel when that happens (this is an extremely important part of the process). Connect with these feelings (for example, if you have a meeting to go to that you are nervous about you may be imagining you will feel relieved when it is over. So feel the relief). Stay in this place for a few minutes, letting the feelings wash over your body.

Then, slowly let your eyes blink a few times and keep letting those feelings envelope you. When you are ready, get up slowly and begin your day. Make sure you smile at yourself in the mirror as you are getting ready. Notice the effects of this free meditation throughout your day and possible, take deep breaths and reconnect with the feelings you conjured up during brief moments in your day.
